Set list (I think) was the
same as Edinburgh, but we had
the advantage of a real life
Al! Even at 7.30pm on a rainy
Wednesday the academy was
busy, so enough fans turned
out to see an almost flawless
performance (there was the
usual technology challenge,
with Tony frantically trying
to regain control of Mike's
laptop, but it didn't detract
from the show).
To me it was a solid,
practiced performance - the
band looked and played like
they were enjoying it and it
showed. Chatting with Iain
afterwards he said the same -
his managing the band has made
him more focused and there is
no lack of determination to
put on a good show from any of
them.
I am very much looking forward
to a Doubt full set DVD
recording in 2014 - let's hope
they get a drummer sorted
soon!

This gig was done before Alan
joined them, so Mike had
recorded the bass parts and they
were played via the computer.
The bass was a bit heavy to
start with on opening track Real
X3, but sorted itself out. I
don't think I've heard Real
World live so that was a nice
highlight and the one I
coincidentally videoed.
The gig was pretty busy which is
a good sign for hopefully
another tour next year.
